LiveHow to Find Who Is Attending an Event on LinkedIn and Turn Them Into Leads
// WHEN TO USE
Problem
Every conference, meetup, and trade show your team attends is full of buyers, and many of them announce it on LinkedIn days before the event.
Finding them by hand means searching the event name, scrolling past sponsors, organizers, and media posts, and guessing who is actually going.
By the time you have a list, the event is over and the chance to meet in person is gone.
// WHAT YOU GET
Outcome
A daily pipeline that finds LinkedIn posts about the target event, keeps only the authors who show real personal intent to attend, and scores them against your ICP in one AI call.
Sponsors, organizers, and people who only mention the event are scored low automatically, so you never spend a message on them.
Qualified attendees get a connection note written from their own reason for going, with an offer to meet at the event.
Hot and cold leads land in Google Sheets, ready to send one to two weeks before the event.

Paste a search URL, and Periodix Actions returns the matching results with automatic rate limiting. This is the core of any LinkedIn lead generation or list-building workflow.

Implementations
This workflow runs on Periodix Actions, so you need an API key and a connected LinkedIn profile first.
- Start your free trial (3 days, full access) and connect a LinkedIn profile: https://actions.periodix.net/dashboard/register
- Follow the step-by-step recipe: https://docs.actions.periodix.net/docs/n8n-recipe-linkedin-event-attendees-to-leads
- Import the ready-made template json into n8n: https://n8n.io/workflows/19126-score-linkedin-event-leads-with-periodix-actions-claude-and-google-sheets/
What you need: the verified Periodix Actions node (n8n Cloud or self-hosted), an AI credential (Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini), and a Google Sheet with Hot and Cold tabs.
Setup: pick your connected LinkedIn profile in the Periodix Actions node, add your AI credential to both AI nodes, connect Google Sheets, and set event keywords, ICP keywords and description, your offer, score threshold, and post limit in Event Config.
The workflow runs daily, finds posts about your event, drops sponsors, organizers, and passing mentions, scores real attendees against your ICP, and drafts a connection note from their own reason for going.

// QUESTIONS
FAQ
- How do I find who is attending an event on LinkedIn?
- Search LinkedIn posts for the event name or hashtag, then keep only authors who say they are going. This playbook does both automatically: Periodix Actions finds the posts, and AI separates real attendees from sponsors, organizers, and people who only mention the event.
- Why score attendance intent and ICP fit together?
- One AI call answers both questions, so you pay once per person. Anyone without real intent to attend scores low regardless of ICP fit, and only qualified attendees get a second AI call for the connection note.
- When should I send the connection requests?
- One to two weeks before the event, so people have time to accept and reply before they arrive. Run the workflow daily as the event gets closer to catch new posts.
- Does this work for small meetups, not just big conferences?
- Yes. Any event people post about on LinkedIn works. For recurring meetups, update the event keyword each cycle.
- Will this get my account restricted?
- The infrastructure behind Periodix has lost 0 LinkedIn accounts across 25,000 connected profiles in the last 24 months. The workflow runs on a schedule rather than in bursts, and you control volume, so keep daily actions within safe limits.
- Do I need Sales Navigator?
- No. This works from LinkedIn post search on any account.
- Can I use OpenAI or Gemini instead of Claude?
- Yes. Both AI steps are standard model calls. The published template uses Claude, and you can switch either step independently.

Score LinkedIn or Sales Navigator leads by ICP and draft outreach
LinkedIn or Sales Navigator search returns hundreds of profiles, and most of them are not a fit. Teams handle this in two expensive ways. Some message everyone, which burns limited sending capacity, hurts reply rate, and trains them to blast more. Others pay to enrich and AI-score every single row in a tool like Clay, spending credits on leads that were never going to qualify. Either way you pay full price for the whole list before you know who is worth it.
Mine LinkedIn post engagement for intent signals
The people who like and comment on posts in your niche are already raising their hand, and that intent is spread across dozens of posts and buried in the feed. To work it by hand you first have to find the right posts, then open each one, scroll every reaction, read every comment, and copy profiles. It does not scale, so the warmest signals go to waste and teams keep buying cold lists instead.
